Here’s a rundown of our recent enhancements:
#1: New way to earn TWICE on everyday purchases
Now you can earn 2x the Miles at any eligible wholesale club or alcohol retailer when paying with your BMO AIR MILES credit card.
Why it’s a big deal: Like to stock up on essentials at your local wholesale club? Well now you can earn 2x the Miles on diapers, paper towel, batteries, party essentials and everything else in your cart. Kayak anyone?
Speaking of parties, now get 2x the Miles on alcohol purchased from retailers across Canada. That’s right—anywhere alcohol is purchased from a retailer.
How it works: BMO AIR MILES credit card holders already earn 2x the Miles on grocery purchases at retailers across Canada. Now, cardholders can earn:
- 2 Reward Miles for every $12 spent at any eligible grocery store, wholesale club, or alcohol retailer with their BMO®† AIR MILES® World Elite®* Mastercard®*. That’s 32 Reward Miles on a $200 shop.
- 2 Reward Miles for every $25 spent at any eligible grocery store, wholesale club, or alcohol retailer with their BMO®† AIR MILES® Mastercard®. That’s 16 Reward Miles on a $200 shop.
#2: Earn Bonus MilesTM with AIR MILES Receipts
Launched in 2023, AIR MILES Receipts lets you earn on your grocery purchases nearly everywhere — whether it’s a local store, big grocery chain, wholesale club or at a big box store.
And it’s getting even better. Effective May 23, 2024, you will also be able to earn Bonus Miles on alcohol purchased from retailers across Canada with AIR MILES Receipts.
Why it’s a big deal: AIR MILES Receipts already covers 94% of national grocers. We’ve expanded the program so now Collectors can earn Bonus Miles on eligible alcohol products by scanning a qualifying receipt.
How it works: All you have to do is check the AIR MILES app for eligible products, shop, and snap a photo of your receipt. Don’t forget to look for the current 50 Bonus Miles offer (on top of Bonus Offers) while you’re at it.
Hot tip! Pay for your purchases with your BMO AIR MILES credit card to earn 2x Miles (see enhancement #1!) in addition to Bonus Miles.
#3: New way to earn on your online grocery order
Why it’s a big deal: You can now earn Reward Miles on grocery delivery through Instacart.
How it works: Visit airmilesshops.ca where you’ll find Instacart in addition to other online grocery delivery retailers such as HelloFresh and DoorDash.
Hot tip! Got Cash Miles? Don’t forget you can redeem them at Shell or for eVouchers for UberEats, SkipTheDishes, DoorDash and many restaurants across Canada.
More earning power across the country
Across the country, we expect these enhancements to put millions more Miles in collectors’ balances by the end of year. What does this mean to you? More opportunities to earn on pasta, cereal, ice cream, car snacks, beer on the dock, dog food, chardonnay, and well, you get the picture.
